Here’s an easy peasy to throw together homemade peppermint mocha creamer using my home canned chocolate syrup recipe (or whatever you want to use or buy) with a couple other simple ingredients to make your morning coffee, afternoon coffee, or bedtime coffee exciting for the winter season.  There’s just something so cozy to me about peppermint and chocolate in the winter!  I don’t normally use creamer in my coffee but homemade coffee creamers are pretty fun and less poisonous.

This creamer is also a good addition to make homemade hot chocolate with.  Make it exciting by serving with candy canes and homemade marshmallows for a really fun treat.  This also makes a great gift idea to gift the home canned chocolate sauce along with a hand written recipe card on how to make the creamer and/or peppermint hot cocoa.  Tie a cute ribbon around your jar, add the recipe card, and a bag of homemade marshmallows and a mug from a small business..  What a fun, thoughtful, intentional, and useful gift to make your friends coffee break so much sweeter :)

I normally make my own peppermint extract, but this year I slacked, so linked in the recipe card below, I do have my favorite peppermint extract to purchase if I don’t make it myself!

Let’s make some easy homemade peppermint mocha coffee creamer!

Equipment You Might Want:

  • Pour spout lid

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint home canned chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups whole milk or heavy cream
  • up to 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Step 1:  Measure

To your clean mason jar, add all ingredients.  Start with 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract and adjust to your taste.  Err on the side of way less because you can always add more!

Store in the fridge!

Step 3:  To Use

Shake jar before using.  Add desired amount to coffee and enjoy!

To use for peppermint hot chocolate:  add equal parts creamer to milk, heat through, and serve with homemade marshmallows!

Notes:

You can omit the salt but I just love salt in my coffee!

And there you have it; your own peppermint mocha creamer recipe.  Easy peasy!
